A year after its creation, the EUFides platform for notarial cooperation continues to develop. The founding members met on Thursday 23 January to sign the founding statutes of the association, which takes the form of an AISBL (international non-profit association) under Belgian law. A fifth founding member – Italy – joined the four notariats at the origin of the project, the Belgian, French, Luxembourg and Spanish notariats.

The signing of the statutes was followed by the association’s first Board meeting, during which Mr Frank Molitor, the president of the Luxembourg notariat and honorary president of the CNUE, was appointed president of EUFides. Among the priority projects is the provision on the platform of factsheets on the national real estate laws of the EUFides member notariats, to facilitate cooperation between notaries. The factsheets will be ready in March. Finally, the members will step up their efforts to familiarise their notaries with EUFides. Demonstrations are planned in Trier on 28 February and at the Congress of Notaries of France due to take place in Marseilles in June. The platform, a real secure notarial cloud, currently has 200 users.
