The European Commission has once again renewed its trust in the CNUE by selecting its training programme for notaries and candidate notaries presented in November 2014. This project will follow the previous training programme, “Notaries for Europe – Europe for Notaries” organised between 2012 and 2014. It will continue in the same vein since the training will focus primarily on the application of the new European regulation on international successions.
The new two-year programme should begin in the coming months. It will involve the organisation of 11 training seminars in 11 countries, culminating in a closing conference in Italy.
The Austrian, Belgian, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Estonian, French, German, Italian, Luxembourg, Portuguese and Spanish notariats are projects partners, in addition to the EIPA, which will be responsible for evaluating the programme. Two academic advisers will also participate: Prof. Patrick Wautelet (University of Liège, Belgium) and Brigitta Lurger (University of Graz, Austria). The European Commission will co-finance 80% of the total budget of the project, which will be rolled out between 2015 and 2017.
