On 30 October 2015, Mr Harlem Désir, the French Secretary of State for European Affairs, received the CNUE President in Paris. Mr Jean Tarrade was able to elaborate on the main issues that interest the profession in Europe, such as the negotiations on the European directive on the single-member company (SUP). The CNUE President highlighted the risks inherent to the SUP in terms of combating money laundering.
The question of the notariat’s exclusion in the next Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement was also discussed. Finally, the various European initiatives calling into question the interconnection of registers of wills successfully developed by the ENRWA in recent years was mentioned. The Secretary of State was reassuring, listening carefully to the notariat’s concerns.
