On 22 and 23 April 2016, the CNUE welcomed to Brussels a delegation from the Association of Notaries of the European Metropolises (ANME). Founded in 1995, the ANME brings together notaries from Berlin, Brussels, Geneva/Lausanne, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, Rome and Vienna. This operational network of European notaries has set itself the objective of encouraging cross-border relationships so as to provide better support for clients in their daily work in cases involving two or more European countries.
During their visit, the ANME delegates also had a presentation of the various projects developed by the CNUE, all tools that facilitate everyday exchanges between European notaries. These include the interconnection of registers of wills via the ENRWA, the online cooperation platform EUFides and the websites intended for the public (www.buyingmyhome.eu, www.coupleseurope.eu, www.successions-europe.eu, www.the-vulnerable.eu). Furthermore, Mr Bart van Opstal, EUFides Director, presented how the platform works, particularly its use in cases of cross-border succession or property acquisition.
