With just one month to go until the 4th Notaries of Europe Congress, the final preparations are underway and will undoubtedly make this edition a highlight of 2017.
The programme of the congress, which will take place from 5 to 7 October 2017 in Santiago de Compostela, has now been finalised. It will address major current issues for the European notariat. The first topic will be devoted to consumer protection in the digital environment and the second will focus on the transfer of company headquarters within the EU. The latter topic will be particularly anticipated as the European Commission has announced a package of legislative measures in company law for November 2017.
Important personalities are expected, including:
- Ms Tiina Astola, Director-General for Justice and Consumers of the European Commission
- Ms Pilar del Castillo, Spanish MEP
- Ms Evelyn Regner, Austrian MEP
- Mr Örjan Brinkman, President of the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC)
There are still some places available for those who wish to join their many European colleagues. The programme and registration are accessible on the congress website: www.notariesofeurope-congress2017.eu
