The CNUE Plenary General Assembly was held in Berlin on 15 and 16 June 2018, bringing together the 22 member notariats, the 4 observer members (the notariats of Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey) and the presidency of the International Union of Notaries (UINL).
On the agenda were exchanges on the European Commission’s recent company law package, the setting up of a new training programme on family law and the fight against money laundering in partnership with the Commission, a CNUE contribution to the drafting of the e-Justice Action Plan 2019-2023 and the compliance of notariats with the new European regulations on data protection.
Discussions also focused on the numerous events that will mark the second half of 2018. On 23 October 2018, the CNUE will organise jointly with the European Commission a conference on the two European regulations on matrimonial property regimes and registered partnerships. Also in October, the CNUE will hold the 3rd edition of its Notaries of Europe Open Days, in the framework of the European Day of Justice.
The morning of 16 June was devoted to exchanges with the CNUE observer notariats, in order to better understand their national situation and their expectations vis-à-vis the CNUE. The working session should in the near future enable closer integration with the CNUE’s activities and association with the various European projects.
