Cristina Noemi Armella elected President of UINL

From 27 to 30 November 2019, notaries in Indonesia hosted the 29th International Congress of Notaries. 1500 notaries representing 89 member countries and 4 continents met in Jakarta. The national authorities of Indonesia, including the President of the Republic, Ir. Joko Widodo and the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Prof. Yasonna Laoly, participated in the opening ceremony.

 On Wednesday 27 November 2019, at the General Assembly of member notariats, Argentine notary Cristina Noemi Armella was elected President of the International Union of Notaries (UINL) for the period 2020-2022. She succeeds the Spanish notary José Marqueño de Llano. Ms Armella has been the UINL’s General Counsel since 2005. A doctor of notarial practice, she is the rector of the Universidad Notarial Argentina and has been a notary in the province of Buenos Aires since 1982.
