CNUE President

CNUE President 2021 - Ádám Tóth, Hungary

Today it is obvious that technology plays an essential role in our daily and professional life. Paper is gradually
disappearing from our lives, giving way to acts drawn up exclusively by electronic means, which speeds up
the management of legal and administrative matters. Electronic signatures are already widespread, not only
among professionals but also among citizens. At the same time, the most innovative technologies - such as
block chains, intelligent contracts, "big data" and artificial intelligence - are creating new solutions
that were unimaginable even at the beginning of the 21st century.

The main objective of the Hungarian Presidency is to monitor and study these new technical developments and related
EU projects and to find the most appropriate ones that can further improve the efficiency and quality of our services,
thus contributing to the recovery of the European economy and the interests of our clients.

President message

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us. The COVID-19 pandemic has put not only the notarial profession but also society as a whole in a very demanding situation. At the same time, the restrictions on our private and professional lives have prompted us to effectively overcome challenges never seen before. Life could not stop; the smooth functioning of the economy had to be ensured. In order to further guarantee legal certainty, the notaries of Europe did not stop working and fulfilled their role even in the most difficult times. Thanks to our innovative and creative spirit, we have been able to constantly create modern technological tools, thus maintaining the high quality of notarial services in all areas of our activities. These solutions continue to develop and will remain with us even after the end of the pandemic.

Today it is obvious that technology plays an essential role in our daily and professional life. Paper is gradually disappearing from our lives, giving way to acts drawn up exclusively by electronic means, which speeds up the management of legal and administrative matters. Electronic signatures are already widespread, not only among professionals but also among citizens. At the same time, the most innovative technologies - such as block chains, intelligent contracts, "big data" and artificial intelligence - are creating new solutions that were unimaginable even at the beginning of the 21st century.

The main objective of the Hungarian Presidency is to monitor and study these new technical developments and related EU projects and to find the most appropriate ones that can further improve the efficiency and quality of our services, thus contributing to the recovery of the European economy and the interests of our clients. I am convinced that 2021 will bring us many common notarial innovations, and the Hungarian Notariat is proud to lead the Notaries of Europe in this direction.
