Proposal for a Regulation of the European Commission creating a European Account Preservation Order

The Notaries of Europe gathered together within the CNUE are following with interest the European institutions’ work to facilitate the movement and enforcement of judicial decisions and authentic instruments. The Notaries of Europe have always been in favour of withdrawing the exequatur, whether in the revision of Regulation (EC) No 44/2001, known as Brussels I, or Regulation (EC) No 805/2004 creating a European Enforcement Order. Nevertheless, difficulties can persist regarding how said decisions and instruments are enforced.
