At the invitation of the Czech notariat, the European Notarial Network (ENN) interlocutors met in Prague on 9 November to discuss the projects that had been implemented in the course of 2012 and the potential for development in the coming year. This meeting also marked the occasion of the new ENN Coordinator Raul Radoi, representative of the Romanian notariat in Brussels, taking up his post. He replaces Stephan Matyk, who was recently appointed a national expert for Austria at the European Commission.
In conjunction with this meeting, the evening was marked by the official launch of the Couples in Europe website (www.coupleseurope.eu). In the presence of German MEP Alexandra Thein, who is responsible for this issue at the European Parliament, and representatives from the Czech political sphere, the participants learned about the content of the new site developed with the help of the ENN and the University of Graz.
Commissioner Viviane Reding, who was unable to attend the reception, sent a video message in which she highlighted the importance of these kinds of initatiatives for the construction of a Europe of law.
