The European Regulation on successions, adopted on 4 July 2012, will bring important changes in the field of international succession law. The text was ratified on 16 August 2012 and will come into force on 17 August 2015.

I. Introduction to Regulation (EU) No 650/2012

II. Wills and agreements as to succession in light of the choice of applicable law, situation regarding the law in relation to the reserved portion

III. Interaction between the regulation on international succession and the law of matrimonial property regimes in light of the Commission’s proposals with a view to harmonising the conflict of law ru
