The European Law Institute will be holding its annual Projects Conference in Vienna, Austria, on 5 September 2013. The European Law Institute is an entirely independent organisation which aims to improve the quality of European law. Since the foundation of the ELI in 2011, the work of the Institute has been focused on its projects, which are intended to make recommendations and provide practical guidance in the field of European legal development.
The Conference, which will take place in the grand surroundings of the Vienna City Hall (Rathaus), will feature expert panels on three of the current projects of the Institute:
- Project session I: ELI Statement on the Proposal for a Regulation on a Common European Sales Law.
- Project session II: ELI Statement on the European Foundation Statute.
- Projects session III: Towards Restatement and Best Practices Guidelines on EU Administrative Procedural Law (joint project with ReNEUAL).
The ELI is delighted to welcome many esteemed guests, including members of the European Parliament and representatives from the European Commission who will join the ELI Working Groups for the discussions.
The cost of attending the full day’s conference, which includes lunch, is € 80. For ELI members attendance is free of charge.
The ELI Projects Conference will be preceded on 4 September by the launch of the ELI Austrian Hub and the opening ceremony of both the Projects Conference and the General Assembly. The General Assembly is an ELI members-only event which will take place on Friday 6 September 2013.
